Scholarship Program

BooksThe primary mission of the Rhode Island Italian-American Hall of Fame is to support local, worthy and outstanding college-bound students of all ethnic backgrounds who have excelled in the classroom, in athletics and in the arts.

Dear Student:

The Rhode Island Italian American Hall of Fame is an organization formed to:

• Inform and educate our youth regarding the importance of academics
• Foster excellence in athletics as well as in the field of artistic expression
• Provide deserving students with scholarship aid
• Celebrate Italian American achievement in sports, academics, and community leadership
• Acknowledge the universal cultural nourishment realized via our Italian American roots

As part of the service to youth by our organization, we will again be sponsoring a scholarship program. Since 1987, nearly $300,000 in scholarship money has been awarded to deserving young Rhode Islanders from all ethnic backgrounds who further their education as a result of the largess of both our loyal membership and faithful supporters.

This year the Rhode Island Italian American Hall of Fame will offer several scholarship
awards at a minimum of $2,000 each to the best male and female scholar-athletes and scholar-artists in the state. The requirements of the scholarships are as follows:

l. High academic achievement on the part of the male or female student;
2. Evidence of financial need;
3. A record of outstanding athletic accomplishment in varsity level competition or;
similar accomplishment in acknowledged interscholastic artistic endeavor;
4. One letter of reference;
5. The applicant must be a Rhode Islander who is or will be a graduate or has graduated from an accredited RI high school and who is of any ethnic background, creed or color, and attending an accredited college or university starting in the fall of 2025.

All completed scholarship forms and attachments must be submitted electronically through this website no later than June 1, 2025. Thank you.

Sincerely,
RIIAHF Scholarship Committee Chair
